Technology Policies

Many of the tools used at the Institute, from email to Banner to the Institute’s website, are now managed by Middlebury’s Information Technology Services (ITS).

As technology services and network infrastructure are gradually becoming more integrated, it makes sense for us to align policies for the use of these resources to the extent possible given the differences in scope and scale of our campus computing environments. In matters pertaining to privacy, security, and responsible use of computing facilities, the Institute faculty, staff, and students are subject to Middlebury Information Technology Services policies.

In particular, these policies related to shared resources, as described in the Middlebury Handbook, apply to Institute faculty, staff, and students.
